On October 3-4, 2008 (Friday evening 7:00-8:30 PM and Saturday morning 8:30 AM-Noon), Eddie Hammett and Randy Pierce will lead a workshop at Riverside Baptist Church for members of all Mt. Zion Association churches entitled, "Reaching People Under 40 While Keeping People Over 60."  The training is based on their book of the same title. 

Eddie Hammett is widely recognized (even outside our denomination) as one of today’s most creative and insightful leaders in helping churches revitalize their outreach.  Along with more than 250 published articles, he has also authored four books on how to prepare the church for a more effective ministry in the 21st century.  Eddie has served as Senior Leadership/Discipleship Coach for Baptist State Convention of North Carolina for the last 16 years, and currently serves as Senior Consultant for Deacon and Discipleship Ministries. 

You probably won’t see this conference advertised anywhere else except possibly for the newsletters of Mt, Zion Association or its member churches.  That’s so you will have a better opportunity to ask questions and interact with the speakers.  Reserve these dates – October 3 & 4 – on your calendars now, so you won’t miss out!
